Three-Point Corset
The corset system for partial relief of lumbar/thoracic spine by limitation of movement in sagittal plane.
Mode of operation
The MKS Extensa corset is based on the conventional 3-point system, in which a sternal and a symphyseal pad as well as a back plate exert forces on the thorax and lead to a straightening and stabilization of the spinal column. The compression applied between the iliac crest and the thorax (cherry pit effect) provides additional relief to the lumbar spine.
Indications
All inications requiring a partial relief by correction of lumbar/thoracic spine, such as:
• stable vertebral body fractures
Characteristics
• The metal rails are easy to mold
• Extremely good compliance is achieved thanks to the ideal width and the comfortable padding of the pads
• The clip fastener makes putting the brace on and taking it off simple
• Compression padding for the waist
